This is a painting of a Phalaenopsis Taida Pink orchid, one of several in Elena's tropical plant collection. Commonly called the Moth Orchid, Phalaenopsis is an easy to grow plant that will reward you with branches of beautiful large flowers in various shades of pink and white. This orchid can stay in flower for several months and give an artist plenty of time to carefully render an accurate painting.
